Brick & Bramble

COMING SOON!

Mae Mercer has no need for a Brownie in her bakery.

The thirty-nine-year-old widow has kept Mercer & Sons running on stubbornness, early mornings and the firm conviction that other people are more trouble than they're worth.

Until Tobias Bramble walks through her door.

With segregation finally ended, the infuriatingly cheerful Brownie is determined to become a professional baker. Mae reluctantly gives him two-weeks to prove himself.

Unfortunately, Tobias has an uncanny understanding of her bakery, a catastrophic sweet tooth and an alarming ability to slip past the walls she's spent years building.

But an Alter working in a human-owned bakery doesn't go unnoticed.

When broken windows escalate into dangerous threats, Mae and Tobias uncover a secret hidden beneath the bakery since the Race Wars. One that someone powerful would rather keep buried.

Keeping the bakery may cost Mae more than she expected.

Keeping Tobias at a safe distance might be considerably harder.
